where extreme performance is demanded.

JAF competition vehicle regulations also require the installation of the catalyzer for “Race” categorized vehicles from 2010,
and for “Speed competition” categorized vehicles from 2013 in all classes.
HKS has been supplying catalysts for motorsports since 2011.

Product Use Example

Formula Regional Japanese Championship

A new formula series being held from 2020 as an intermediate category between FIA F3 and FIA F4. This is a one-make race using DOME F111/3 Formula car in accordance with the latest regulations set by the FIA, and drivers who have earned 40 or more Super License points in their best three seasons, including 2020, are eligible to be issued a Super License.

INTER PROTO SERIES

In this series, one car is shared by two drivers: a professional driver who competes in Super Formula or SUPER GT (GT500), and a gentleman driver who is a car owner or has other main jobs while competing as an amateur driver. The specially designed racing car "kuruma" is not equipped with any driver support systems such as ABS or traction control system and is designed to bring the "battle of the drivers" to focus attention. We have been supplying catalysts to this series since its establishment in 2013.

TYPE: Racing Metal Catalyzer

■High inflow and durability

Higher durability is achieved without the use of brazing, which is a common metal catalyst and can cause melting.
The large flow opening area allows for extremely low exhaust pressure.

TYPE: Cell Type

■Achieve both low exhaust pressure and low cost

It has the same cell-type structure as a typical metal catalyzer, but with a lower density to obtain the large flow opening area, which allows for lower exhaust pressure.
