HKS LANCER EVOLUTION
DIRT TRIAL

While focusing on the development of tuning parts, manufacturing, and sales,
HKS has been involved in various motorsports such as touring cars and drifting competitions.

As a new motorsport activity, the team built a machine for a time attack competition on unpaved roads called
"Dirt Trial." The car is based on the "Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X" and has undergone major modifications,
including a short wheelbase, radiator side mounts,
and a special suspension with paddle shifters, making it a distinct machine from the production car.
The driver is Katsuhiko Taguchi, a veteran rally and dirt trial driver with a wealth of experience.

Driver

Katsuhiko Taguchi

Born on February 7th, 1972 in Okayama Prefecture.

He started his career in motorsports at the age of 18 with dirt trial racing and showed
his exceptional talent by winning the All Japan Dirt Trial Championship at the age of 20.
He also participated in overseas rallies as a member of the Mitsubishi Works team.
From 2012, he participated in the All Japan Dirt Trial Championship and won the All Japan Series in 2015, 2016, and 2018.
