Short block that incorporates the “2.5L HC STEP2 KIT” for the FA24 engine, ideal for use with the forced induction and higher output. Carefully designed and manufactured to enjoy higher power.

Features

  • FA24 short block engine with HKS stroker kit “2.5L HIGH COMP STEP2” and a closed deck modification to accommodate the higher output of the force induction installing.
  • In order to suppress cylinder deformation due to high combustion pressure, the block is processed into a closed deck.
  • Deck surface is polished to improve flatness.
  • Cylinder cylindricity is improved by installing a dummy head and applying a honing process.
  • The main gallery is thoroughly cleaned to reduce the risk of problems.
  • To improve knocking limits, oil jets are added to cooling the pistons.
  • The piston is made of “A2618” forged alloy, which has high temperature strength. It is lightweight at 340g (stock 367g). The crown surface is shaped to be suitable for direct injection with a 3D shape and cavities to sustain a tumble flow.
  • To accommodate high torque, the machined I-beam connecting rod exclusively for STEP2 is used. The con-rod is 30% stronger than the stock con-rod while minimizing weight increase.
  • Specially designed forged crankshaft.
