■Features

  • The futuristic design of the IONIQ 5 is enhanced by this coilover, which moderately lowers the ride height to reduce the gap in the fender arches, resulting in a more stylish and aggressive stance.
  • While prioritizing comfortable ride quality for town use, this setup delivers a firm feel that can handle the strong, instant torque and powerful acceleration unique to EV motors, enabling you to also enjoy sporty driving performance.
  • Due to the long wheelbase, the minimum ground clearance must be at least 10 cm according to Japanese regulations. Also, please be careful during ride height adjustment and driving to ensure the battery does not come into contact with the ground.

【Stock rear upper mount】

  • Characteristics of EV-Specific Tires and Tire Pressure Management
    Testing was conducted using genuine 20-inch EV-specific tires. These tires feature high casing rigidity to support the heavier body, resulting in a noticeable change in ride quality depending on the tire pressure. Since the setup was performed at the recommended pressure, frequent tire pressure checks and maintenance are recommended.
  • Safety Assurance through Use of Stock Upper Mounts and Strength Testing
    The rear dampers are designed to use stock upper mounts. 
    A special upper mount shape is employed, and if a conventional connection method is used, it may apply loads and stresses exceeding those of the stock part, potentially causing the rubber mount to delaminate. 
    At HKS, we conduct strength testing using the stock parts to ensure that the chosen connection method is appropriate for the expected load capacity. So you can use  the product with confidence.
  • For inverted rear dampers, damping force can be easily adjusted without the need for jacking up the vehicle
  • The rear spring height adjuster is designed to be bolted directly to the suspension arm, eliminating noise caused by shifting or misalignment.
