The main difference between them is the source of power: a turbocharger uses exhaust gases, while a supercharger is driven by the engine’s rotation.

A supercharger uses the power of the engine itself, so it can send air even at low RPMs.

On the other hand, a turbocharger can produce more power at medium to high RPMs as the exhaust gas energy becomes stronger once the engine runs at higher speed.

The choice between the two devices depends on your purpose. If you want to achieve maximum performance and increase most power, a turbocharger is recommended.

On the other hand, if you want a natural feeling and quiet cabin sound similar to a stock engine, a supercharger is recommended.

Replacing the turbocharger is another way to increase power.
