Strengthened Con'rod for FA20

【コンセプト/CONCEPT】

　FA20エンジンの過給器によるチューニングレベルが高くなり、従来の鍛造コンロッドの許容トルク（約700N・m）を超える状況も見られるようになりました。そのような高出力・高トルクに対応できるように、TRB-03（筑波サーキットにてタイムアタック実施）で開発した総削りI断面コンロッドを商品化。これにより座屈強度は、従来の鍛造コンロッドからさらに約30％アップし圧倒的なパフォーマンスを実現します。

The level of tuning has gone up by the supercharger for the FA20 engine, and the driving conditions sometimes exceeds the conventional forged connecting rod’s allowable torque (approx. 700 N･m). The I-beam billet connecting rod that was developed for TRB-03 is now available to deal with such high output and high torque.
The buckling strength of the connecting rod is increased by about 30% from the conventional forged connecting rod to achieve overwhelming performance.

• 2.1L KIT専用品のため、クランクピン径Φ48（純正はΦ50）に適合し、2.1Lキットをすでにお使いの方も交換が可能です。

※当コンロッドはHKS2.1Lキット専用品です。純正との互換性はありません。

• The thickness was optimized by strength analysis. The weight increase was minimized, and the strength was increased by approximately 30%.
• I-beam shape was selected to increase the buckling strength.
• The ideal shape was realized, and the fracture origin on the surface was eliminated by forged billet manufacturing. To improve fatigue strength, strong shot peening treatment is carried out on the surface.
• The optimum heat treatment for chrome molybdenum steel was carried out to improve both strength and toughness.
• This is designed especially for 2.1L KIT; the crank pin diameter is 48mm (stock pin dia. is 50mm), and it is compatible with the existing 2.1L kit.
