【CYLINDER LINER】
A cylinder liner is a cylindrical component that constitutes the inner wall of the cylinder, which the piston travels up and down. The liner absorbs the wear that occurs on the inner cylinder wall and protects the engine block.
HKS has designed the cylinder liners not only as wear parts, but also as a structural component capable of withstanding combustion pressure.
Tested on high-output drag racing vehicles. This product is not only ideal for competition use, but can also be utilized as an overhaul part for neo-classic engines, which new engine blocks have been difficult to obtain.
【Deck Repair Collar】
To repair cracks that have formed on the cylinder block's deck surface, preventing water and oil from mixing.
- Cracks may develop between the water jacket and the head bolt holes, potentially leading a crack that connecting both areas.
In such cases, since oil flows through certian head bolt holes, resulting in significant damages due to water and oil mixing. - Simply apply liquid gasket to the outer circumference of the collar before installation, sealing the gap against the inner surface of the hole.
- For cracks on the deck surface, apply liquid gasket to the affected area when installing the gasket to seal the gap.
