Our water-cooled INTERCOOLER well-known for its excellent cooling performance, has been renewed with "lightweight black mesh hose."

 

 

 

 

 

 

■Renewal Points

Approximately 20% lighter than stainless steel mesh hose
　Stainless steel mesh hose (our product) 310g/m
　Black mesh hose (newly adopted product) 250g/m

  • This kit uses a black mesh hose and black and silver fittings.
  • The hose and fittings are pre-assembled, just like existing kits.
  • The angled fitting has a swivel structure that makes it easy to adjust twisting during installation.

 

 

■Features

  • By installing an HKS water-cooled intercooler, you can achieve stable cooling performance without being affected by the wind while driving.
  • By installing a separate radiator for the intercooler, there is no effect on the engine coolant temperature.

 

[Additional parts required]

  • Cooling water volume: Use about 3.5L coolant.
  • Relay: Usable power approx. 200W x 1
  • Fuse holder: Allowable current approx. 20A x 1
  • Connection terminal: Appropriate amount
  • Wiring cord: AV2.00sq, Maximum allowable conductor temperature 80℃ or higher, 5m

 

 

Achieves stable cooling compared to air-cooled intercoolers and significantly reduces intake air temperature.

■Test Data

  • When the HKS water-cooled intercooler is installed, stable cooling performance is ensured, and 20 minutes of continuous full throttle driving is possible without knock retard.
  • Compared to the air-cooled type, the core is smaller, and the intake temperature is more stable.
  • In the test data below, the I/C outlet temperature for the stock I/C was 92°C about 5 minutes after the start of driving, and the air-cooled prototype I/C was 89°C.
  • In contrast, the water-cooled I/C succeeded in stabilizing the temperature at 57°C even after driving for more than 20 minutes.
