The layout follows the stock catalyst design. Using data from the genuine catalysts, repeated trail and error tests were conducted to pursue performance goals. Targeting flow bench testing and internal exhaust emission compliance testing. By enlarging inner diameter and reducing the catalyst cell count to 150 cells, achieves the lowest possible exhaust back pressure.

In flow bench testing, the HKS Metal Catalyzer (referred to as the HKS Catalyzer) achieved approximately 51% lower exhaust resistance compared to the stock catalytic converter.

Point:
~Flange(Turbine Connection)~
The OEM flange has a constriction point of approximately 73mm where exhaust gas flows towards the catalyst.
The inner diameter of the HKS Catalyzer was enlarged to 87mm, reducing exhaust resistance.
~Flange(Muffler Front Pipe Connection)~
The OEM flange connecting to the front pipe has an inner diameter of 53mm.
The inner diameter of the HKS Catalyzer was enlarged to 71.7mm

Installing the HKS Metal Catalyzer, the increased secondary exhaust pressure can be reduced even when engine speed increases. The lower the exhaust pressure is, the less load required for the same output value, allowing for greater margin.
By only replacing the HKS Metal Catalyzer, secondary exhaust pressure is reduced by up to 28% compared to stock.
When installing the HKS Catalyzer and the LEGAMAX Sports a maximum reduction of 40% compared to stock was achieved!

Installing the HKS Catalyzer, the sound emitted from the muffler will change.
In terms of proximity exhaust, the mid- and high-frequency ranges for both the stock muffler and the HKS muffler (LEGAMAX Sports) (Abbreviation: LMS) has been tuned to produce a sportier sound. While replacing the catalytic converter tends to increase proximity exhaust sound, combining with the LMS ensures compliance with safety standards, providing a worry-free experience.

| HKS Catalyzer+Stock Muffler | 87 |
