HIPERMAX R for the Roadster, Evolved with the Latest Technology

  • The Roadster's suspension has been refined with cutting-edge technology to deliver both everyday comfort and sharp, responsive cornering. Spring rates and damping force have been pushed to the limit for a sporty, lightweight feel on winding roads and circuits.
  • The specially designed “LVS” springs offer more flexibility than their set rate, providing a smooth ride in the city and firm, stable handling during spirited driving—even at the limit.
  • A front spring retainer reduces side forces, allowing smoother suspension movement and better road tracking. In the rear, a helper spring ensures enough extension stroke to maximize inner rear tire grip during circuit runs.
  • Tested at Fuji Speedway with A052 tires, the recommended damper settings are 10 clicks front, 12 clicks rear. This height-adjustable kit unleashes the full potential of the Roadster, whether on the street or the track.

*1. Height from road surface to fender arch.
*2. Height at factory is the data tested at HKS with the setting of Full Kit. (HKS' recommended setting.)
*3. Adjustable range (However, the lowest value may not be road legal.
Even within the adjustable range, car body, arm etc. may contact. In such case, it will be hard to drive.
Damper oil leakage or any other problems caused by low ride height setting from the factory setting will void the warranty of the product.)
*4. Drivable range that there is no contact of car body or arms etc. (However, change of tire/wheel size may cause a problem.)
Caution). Actual data depends on each vehicle.

Developer’s comments

  • Due to the NA/NB Roadster’s short rear suspension, it’s difficult to secure stroke. To address this, we omitted rear spring retainers to create space for helper springs, maximizing rear extension stroke—crucial for FR traction and reducing abrupt behavior common in short-wheelbase cars.
  • The suspension is tuned slightly toward circuit driving, with a focus on stability and control. For everyday city use, setting the damping dial to 20–30 clicks offers a more comfortable ride.
  • We also offer a ±2K spring rate change service front and rear. If you mainly drive on mini circuits, use lower-grip tires than the A052s used in testing, or prefer more active load transfer, you can choose softer rates to match your driving style.
  • For NB models or cars with aftermarket reinforced front upper arms, check for possible contact between the damper and reinforcement. If necessary, adjust camber or take other steps to avoid interference during installation.

Newly developed oil SRF
We have developed a special oil with high viscosity that is resistant to heat dissipation. In addition, the damping starts from the very low speed range, providing reliable handling, good stability, and excellent feel.
※SRF:Super Response Fluid

Dedicated spring LVS
A newly developed dedicated spring made of high-strength wire material that is ideal for sports driving. It provides excellent response and a smooth ride.
※LVS:Low Vibration Spring

Spring Retainer
A retainer is standardly equipped on the top of the spring. No side force is generated, realizing low friction. It follows posture changes firmly and improves driving stability.
